Bangladesh Premier League authority has set a new timetable for the Dhaka phase, which is scheduled to start from 11 November this year, an official confirmed this change to the press. The first match will begin one hour earlier, while the second one is scheduled to start at 6 pm.
Friday brings different. The first match will begin at 2 pm and the second one is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm.
Ismayel Hayder, secretary of the BPL governing body explained the reason to the media. “There are several factors what led us to change the timing. Spectators face so many troubles to get home, as the match ends at 11 pm. And 11 pm is almost midnight in the winter season. Furthermore, there is a scarcity of transport in roads. Dew is another major factor. Almost every day there are two matches. And curator needs enough time to prepare for the next match.” Hayder elaborated to the press.
