Manushi Chhillar: Miss World 2017

Manushi Chhillar, a twenty-year-old Indian won the 67th beauty pageant crown with Stephanie Hill, Miss England as the first runner-up while Miss Mexico Alma Andrea Meza positioned the second runner-up in the 67th world’s biggest beauty display contest.

Manushi Chhillar, a medical student hailed from Haryana India, who finds her happiness in painting with a good knowledge in classical dancing, and having a dream of opening up a chain of non-profit hospital in rural areas,  appears in the Miss World contest as Miss India 2017 who, on the other hand the winner of Femina Miss India 2017 and luckily achieved the crown as the sixth Indian.

Miss World, a glamorous show off platform, where physical attributes are the major element to ensure the position aspirants from around the world came under the same shed to claim the crown.

Miss World 2017 – Crowning Moment

According to the official website of the event, MissWorld.com 126 aspirants from around the globe participated in the beauty pageant which is held in the Sanya in China to claim the crown for their counties. But, the crown is made for only one fortunate girl, which finally went to Manushi Chhillar, a twenty-year-old medical student from India.

As per the tradition of the event, top five contestants hold hands together before the winner is announced. (There should be the picture of top five contestants) From top five it minimizes into top three, tension arouses among aspirants. (There should be the picture of top three contestants)

Chhilla is the sixth and last Indian lucky girl to win this prestigious honor while Reita Faria was the first Indian who won the crown in 1966. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan one of the high paid Bollywood actresses won in 1994, Diana Haydon in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999 and Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra made it possible in 2000. Till then India took seventeen years to take the sixth one.

“I think a mother deserved the highest respect and when you talk about salary it’s not always about cash but I feel it’s the love and respect that you give to someone. My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life.” Chhillar replies when she is asked about the profession maximum salary deserves.

She further added: “all mothers sacrifice so much for their kids. So, I think it is the job of a mother that deserves the highest salary.” During the final question session Chhillar encounter this question.

Now, India is the joint-most successful in the beauty pageant arena.
