Dhaka university D unit is a group changing unit (science/business/humanities) where students can easily change their groups and choose any subjects form the other two groups.
In this unit, the largest number of seats are for the students from the science background. They can choose any subjects of arts, commerce and social science.
Commerce students are eligible for arts, social science, business and a few science subjects and humanity students can also achieve subjects like geography, psychology and mathematics through the examination under D unit.

- Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
MCQ Exam
- Bangla (15*1) = 15
- English (15*1) = 15
- General Knowledge (30*1) = 30
Total = 60 marks.
Time = 45 minutes.
*1 mark for every right answer and 0.25 marks will be excluded from the total marks for each wrong answer.
Written Exam
- Bangla/ Advanced English* = 15
- English = 15
- General Knowledge (Analytical) = 10
Total = 40 marks.
Time = 45 minutes.
*Students who passed A-Level, only they have to answer Advanced English.
