Comilla Victorians Back with Heroic Victory

Comilla Victorians, the champion of BPL 3, is back to the tournament with a heroic victory over Chittagong Vikings. Today, 5th match of BPL 2017, Comilla Victorians has blown away Chittagong Vikings by 8 wickets with 16 balls remaining of the innings.

Comilla Victorians vs. Chittagong Vikings Match Report

Earlier in the match, Chittagong Vikings have a flying start with their two openers. The national team opener Soumya Sarkar and the kiwi batsman Luke Ronchi was increasing the total along with their respective tally. The opponent bowlers were helpless as they scored 54 runs for just in 5 overs but no loss.

Though Luke Ronchi fell into a trap and give away his wicket to the skipper Mohammad Nabi, the Vikings were on the right track. Hence, within 11.1 overs, they passed magic figure 100.

After reaching the hundred, Chittagong Vikings lost the path and struggled in the match. Dilshan MUnaweera and Sikandar Raza tried to rebuild the score, but that was not enough.

On the other hand, captain Misbah-ul-Haq failed to impress in the match as he scored five from 11 balls. The bowlers of the BPL 3 champion were incredible as they succeeded to tie the Vikings under 150.

The match was an excellent challenge for Comilla Victorians. Firstly, they lost their very first game to Sylhet sixers and secondly, the homeboy of Chittagong Vikings was not to the local team for the first time of BPL.

In the reply, Comilla Victorians have a good start that was enough for the game. Though Liton Das returned to the dressing room after 4.2 overs with a total score of 43, he also scored 23 from 14 balls with four boundaries. Joss Buttler was also amazing as he scored valuable 48 runs from just 42 balls.

After that, Imrul Kayes and Marlon Samuels reached to the winning point without any further loss. Mohammad Saifuddin is the man of the match for his excellent bowling figure of 3 for 24 in four overs.

Comilla Victorians are now in the 4th position of the point table with a win and a loss.
