History of Qawmi Madrasa in Brief
Qawmi Madrasa is one of the two noteworthy madrasa-based education systems in Bangladesh. Unlike Aliya Madrasa, these are not financed by the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board or the government of Bangladesh. Like other charity institutions, Qawmi Madrasas are completely run by donations only.
The Qawmi Madrasas prevalently pursue the Islamic Deobandi (Darul Uloom Deoband, in India) patterns with respect to education and administration policies.
Previously, unlike Aliya Madrasa the degrees they gave needed accreditation or authority acknowledgement, not at all like those presented by the authority of Alia Madrasas which pursue the famous Calcutta Alia style.
Beginning in 2006, two years after the establishment of the secretly run Befaqul Mudarressin education board for Qawmi Madrasas, the Bangladeshi government started to offer some Qawmi degrees.
In 2017, Qawmi Madrasa got more mature with public status. Dawrah or Takmil fil Hadith is given the equivalent status of MA.

Requirements to Be Eligible for Dawrah Exam
Since 2017, Dawrah exam has been holding under the maintenance of a newly-established state-sponsored board like the other general education boards in Bangladesh. Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh is the (not the solo) authority of taking Dawrah exam in Bangladesh. Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh performs this responsibility with the help of other six self-governed educational boards of prominent Qawmi Madrasa throughout the country.
This year, a new law has gone through regarding the eligibility of sitting in the examination. One has to pass Misqat under any of the six education boards approved by Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh. This law will be in action from 2019 Education Year. Furthermore, an examinee must be 21 years old. Note that, one can ignore this law sitting in the exam under the other boards who are not affiliated with Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh since it is not mandatory for every madrasa to abide by.
Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh is a newly-formed government approved institute for serving thousands of Qawmi Madrasa in Bangladesh with a mission to connect them with the mainstream education policy and in the general workforce. It aims to arrange a central exam like Dawrah and to issue a certificate. It is formed by six prominent Madrasa Education Boards of Bangladesh. These are as follows…
